With Legacies Coming To An End, The Vampire Diaries Vet Kat Graham Reflects On Her Refusal To Return As Bonnie

With the official end of The Vampire Diaries universe coming next week on The CW with the end of the Legacies series an era is drawing to a close after 13 years. Legacies have given out loads of Easter eggs to TVD fans throughout the four seasons and have even attracted some fan-favorite guest stars. There are only two episodes left so can fans look forward to more appearances? TVD veteran Kat Graham recently mirrored her time on the series and stood firm in her refusal to return to the role of Bonnie Bennett and with good reason. Kat Graham who memorably portrayed charming Bonnie Bennett for the entire eight seasons of The Vampire Diaries spoke with ET about the possibility of returning to the franchise but for now, the actress wants to focus on new music. Grateful for her time on The CW's supernatural series Graham has another job to do ending any hope of Bonnie returning one last time before the franchise ends

While it's disappointing that Kat Graham won't return before Legacies is over it does make sense. It's been five years since The Vampire Diaries had such a satisfying ending. While it was nice to see Bonnie again Legacies told some great stories without her. Apparently, the door was locked on his return and Graham would prefer not to open it again. However, Graham kept in touch with his former colleagues. Last year she and Nina Dobrev got together for a sweet photo shoot. Of course, the photo came up with many fans who immediately wanted to revive TVD to which Graham responded by saying that she and Dobrev will always be friends but the two are not interested in revival. Although Kat Graham isn't interested in getting back together Bonnie's other half is. In 2020 Michael Malarkey who played Enzo in the second half of the series until the character's died at the hands of Stefan expressed his desire to return to the Legacies. Unfortunately, the Big Sky representative has yet to make a big comeback to the franchise and it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Maybe another TVD series will happen in the future and I can finally come back.

It will be interesting to see how Legacies advances the series finale next week as the cancellation was very surprising. There's no telling how the season will turn out but the season was shaping up for something big for the end whether it's the season finale or the series finale. Can you end on a happy note with Super Friends and the Salvatore School safe and sound? Or will it end with someone's death? As fans of The Vampire Diaries know nothing in this universe is predictable. Hopefully, we get at least one more headshot to finish it off. The last episodes of the Legacy series will be broadcast on Thursday at 9 pm. EST on The CW! Check out CinemaBlends 2022 TV show to see what else you can expect.
