'No, it's not Bluey': Successful run of report 'completely incorrect' may be canceled, Australian producers say

Producers of the hit animation show Bluey have been forced to deny a report that the show could be canceled after protests from devastated fans around the world. No not Bluey! It may end after only three popular seasons as the boy behind the voice of the famous character grows up.

When the story broke on Wednesday night ABC and production sources told The Guardian Australia it was completely wrong but the story continued to spread.

We absolutely love Bluey and there are no plans to end the show a spokesperson for Ludo the production company that hosts the show told The Guardian Australia. Coming into season 3 and really excited about the future we cant wait to share new episodes.

The Daily Mail story was based on a whistleblower who claimed the young actors' voices had matured leaving the producers with the option of changing the role or drastically ending the show. Daily Mail Australia editor Barclay Crawford said he absolutely supported the story which he said was based on two sources working on the show. Deadline to respond Crawford told Guardian Australia.

There were 26000 interactions on Facebook on multiple page posts belonging to the Daily Mail. Bluey was a popular Twitter search. When it launched in Australia in 2018 Bluey quickly became the most downloaded show in ABCs on-demand service history and now has over 500 million views. Bluey breathes new life into the children's television production sector which has been struggling since the alliance eliminated the children's TV quota. It was funded by ABC.
