Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrive in the UK ahead of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations


Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their two children arrived in the United Kingdom on Wednesday ahead of Queen Elizabeth IIs platinum jubilee celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex landed at London Airport in the afternoon with their young children and a small team of staff Page Six has learned. We were told that the family and their team took a commercial flight instead of their usual private jet from Los Angeles to London. Page Six reported in May that Markle and Harry would be returning to London with 3-year-old Archie and 11-month-old Lilipt to see the Queen. Queen Elizabeth II is expected to meet Lilliput for the first time to celebrate the girl's first birthday which falls on June 4. A spokesperson for the couple told Page Six Princthat e Harry and Meghan the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited and honored to attend the Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in June with their children.

However, as they are not royals the couple will take a back seat to major events during the four-day jubilee celebration which begins on June 2. The couple and their children will not join Queen Prince Charles.  Prince William and Kate Middleton and other working members of the royal family for their official public appearance and photo session on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. After careful consideration, the Queen has decided that this year Trooping the Color balcony appearance on Thursday 2 June will be restricted to Her Majesty and members of the Royal Family currently performing official public duties in the Queen's name a statement from the Palace read. As such scandalous Prince Andrew who was dismissed from his public duties after a sexual assault and settlement lawsuit will not appear on the balcony on the big day. But a visit by the Sussex family to the UK could mean Harry's brother Prince William as well as Middleton and their three children 8-year-old Prince George 7-year-old Princess Charlotte and 4-year-old Prince Louis. Finally, he met the baby Lilliput. However, it is reported that William and his family will be at another event hundreds of miles away when the Queen meets Lillibit.

During a revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Harry admitted that his relationship with William was on the rocks after he and Markle left the royal family and moved to California. Harry and Markle have only returned to the UK a few times due to security concerns and each time without children. The couple believes that the UK government is not providing them with adequate security after they have resigned from their royal duties. Harry and Markle visited the Queen and her father Prince Charles for the first time since moving to the United States in March 2020 last month. . They met at Windsor Castle on their way to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands in April. Prince Harry went home without Markle in April 2021 for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip and also visited himself in July 2021 to help unveil a statue of his late mother Princess Diana at Kensington Palace in London.
