Midsomer Murders star details ‘pretty spooky’ moment on set 'Quite strange'

Midsomer Murders star Nick Hendrick who plays DS Jamie Winter on the ITV crime series spoke about a particular moment on the set that left him shaky. When the series finale aired in May many worried that the new episodes might not have the sense of humor they were known for but Nick stopped their concerns and detailed a strange incident that happened on set. Nick joined the long-running series in 2016 and his character works closely with DCI John Barnaby Neil Dudgeon to get to the bottom of a variety of unexpected crimes. When the series returned the pair plunged into scarecrow crimes as the town of Little Upton became the scene of murders in the lead up to a scarecrow building competition.

Bodies are discovered on poles next to the straw creations leaving it up to Barnaby Winter to solve the crime before it ruins the big event. On the topic of the episode, Nick explained Scarecrows are so weird. There's a weird kind of rural fascination with scarecrows and you don't see them like you used to. What we often find in a group is when you have something like a scarecrow or the body of a [mannequin]... what scares them the most is when they get dumped at the side of the group. For example, they're just lying around harmlessly and you turn the corner down a little bit from the group to find something and then all of a sudden there's a strangely positioned straw alien object lying to the side. That's when you want to Oh damn it. So it's scary. very. The strange and frightening episode left viewers dumbfounded when they realized that corpses were being hung like scarecrows.

They took to their social media accounts to discuss the episode as @Samanth22356123 tweeted Me when that scarecrow moved!! With a gif of a scared man. Claireybbear added When you watch the #MidsomerMurders the scarecrow comes back to life! @charscribbles46 commented Of all the episodes of Midway Murders that could have aired this week of course the one with the scarecrows. Just in time for the city's scarecrow jubilee contest. Hope no one has any #midsomermurders #scarecrows ideas. itsColOutside joked If the midway murders taught me anything it's to stay away from city parties folks. Filming for the final series began in October 2021 with Neil Dudgeon talking to Digital Spy about the lack of hugs and kisses.

Everyone is excited to get back to work. Unfortunately, there won't is as many hugs and kisses as usual but we all have to make sacrifices! It might be a little weird at first for sure. protocols but hopefully we can all stay safe and film another great series. Series 22 is celebrating its 25th anniversary after becoming a screen staple since it first aired in 1997. Midsomer assessment of the place was a small town. According to the Midsomer Wiki page, the series has made a fairly high body count with no less than 395 murders in its first 126. The site estimates that the series has given us 581 deaths in total plus an additional 164 attempted murders or suicides The Medium Murders airs Tuesdays from 8 p.m. on ITV Three.
