Jamie Kennedy's "Lucky" Is One Of Criminal Minds' Most Disturbing Killers
He's not short on competition but cannibal serial killer Jimmy Kennedy Lucky is one of the Criminal Mind's most disturbing killers. Criminal Minds first appeared on CBS in 2005 an extensive procedural series that follows the Behavior Analysis Unit also known as BAU. It is made up of a team of FBI profile editors who track down killer perpetrators many of whom apply unique tactics. The series can be relentlessly grim and bleak though its characters like Spencer Reed and Penelope Garcia gave the human criminal minds they needed. Criminal Minds ran for 15 seasons which means BAU has faced plenty of unforgettable offenders during its time. Several assassins stand out from this path perhaps most famously C. Thomas Howell as George Voight aka The Ripper a prolific assassin who also murdered Hailey Meredith Monroe Hochs Thomas Gibson's ex-wife. . Other famous suspects in Criminal Minds include Tim Curry's brutal Prince of Darkness or the killer Cat Adams Aubrey Plaza.
Jimmy Kennedy is best known as Randy Mix the nerd beloved movie of the first three Scream films. Kennedy is known for his comedic roles but his performance as Floyd Feylinn Ferell aka Lucky on Criminal Minds is anything but. Ferrell has introduced in the season three episode of Criminal Minds Lucky where the British University heads to Florida to track down a murderer who is revealed to be Ferrell. Lucky has kidnapped women for food and is believed to be possessed by a carnivorous demon. His methods included carving pentagrams into the bodies of victims and one of his notorious acts had him provide meat from a missing victim to volunteers searching for it. Criminal Minds killer Jimmy Kennedy also had an ego about her crimes which included forcing the fingers of one victim onto another so that authorities would know after recovering the latter body that she wasn't the first victim. Kennedy's unsettling calm as Ferrell is also what makes the character enduring because while he may not be as prolific as other members of Criminal Minds it's the sadistic pleasure he takes in his actions that really bothers him.
Shakes A Cold Day in Hell Jimmy Kennedy later re-enacted the killer from Criminal Minds 13 in the episode Lucky Strikes. This caused the League to cross paths with Ferrell again whose actions were never prosecuted but institutionalized. Although it seems like a copycat killer might re-enact Luck's crimes the ending reveals that he oversaw another killer named Manning to commit the murders. Ferrell has been imprisoned again at the end of this criminal mind walk but as a revival series unfolds it seems unlikely that BAU will meet the killer again.
