Machine Gun Kelly is reunited with his mother, who abandoned him when he was a child
Machine Gun Kelly introduces her mother to the rest of the world. The rapper shared a selfie of himself with his mother on Instagram on Thursday. While MGK holds out two middle fingers and her mother makes a peace sign the two smile and bow to each other. They sat side by side on the floor squatting both smiling at the camera. For the photo, MGK used two middle finger emojis while her mother used a more diplomatic peace sign. This is...my mom he said in the caption.
MGK was born to missionary parents in Houston. MGK and his father moved to Denver to live with his aunt when his mother left. In her 2019 song Burning Memories, she addresses the trauma of being abandoned by her mother. The lyrics read Yes this is for my mother I never knew I took it aside just to burn all my memories of you.
On July 5
2020 MGKs father passed away. On the first anniversary of his father's death, the
rapper released his fourth studio album Hotel Diablo which includes the song Burning
Memories. On Twitter MGK revealed his father's death saying he had never felt
