Landon Can Make Legacies' Series Finale The Perfect TVD Ending
Landon Aria Shahghasemi has surprisingly accepted a new role in Legacies and in doing so now has the power to make the perfect definitive Legacies series for The Vampire Diaries universe. The past few seasons of The Vampire Diaries' second spin-off have had their ups and downs with some characters being shelved when it seemed like writers no longer seemed to know what to do with their stories. One such character is Landon Kirby who spent the fourth season of Legacies marginalized in Limbo also known as Purgatory. However Landon's time there was not entirely wasted. Even if he couldn't get out of Limbo he thought he could at least help others find peace and cross over to the other side. One of those souls he helped cross was his mother with whom he had a controversial life relationship. He even gave up his chance at peace to help bring Alaric Matthew Davis back to the living world. Landon's altruism and ability to help others find peace catches the attention of Ferryman JJ Dunlap in Legacies Season 4 Episode 18 who as it turns out is actually a goddess named Lynn Tasya Teles. After some back and forth Landon agrees to take Lynn's place as the new Marine worker until she finds peace in Valhalla.
It might seem an unfair fate to Landon to now remain forever forgotten a curse for transporting souls back and forth. But this development makes Landon a key player in the upcoming battle for the end of the Legacies series even if he's stuck in Limbo. Before crossing, Lynn mentioned that she once took pity on some humans and brought them back to life. It's safe to assume that Landon has all the powers that Lane has as a ferryman which means that he now also can revive people. With his knowledge of the battle against the gods that Hope Daniel Rose Russell and the rest of her friends will soon face in the world above now would be the perfect time for Andon to revive the lovable dead characters from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. To join the students of the Salvatore School in their fight. It would be the perfect way to not only close the Legacies series finale but also close the entire world of The Vampire Diaries aloft.
Hope and the rest of the super band go into the fight of their lives against Kane Luke Mitchell and the rest of the gods. Some of them may not survive. They need all the help they can get and now that Landon has the power to bring people back to life it would be foolish for Legacies to miss the opportunity to bring back ancient characters in one big final battle. It is not certain that Landon has the strength to bring back the inhabitants of Valhalla or just Limbo. But it's not like Legacies haven't played fast and loose with legends of The Vampire Diaries throughout their career. This can be a misrepresentation written at the end easily.
Legacies have faced criticism in the past for seeming to forget that they are part of the world of The Vampire Diaries. While characters from TVD and The Originals have occasionally been mentioned few if any have appeared. Season 4 of Legacies attempted to correct this by bringing back several characters from both shows in Episode 15 All That Can Be Lost Can also Be Found. Mikaelsons Family Reunion in Legacies Season 4 Episode 15 was the highest-rated episode of the season so far. It illustrates something that some of the sub-elements have forgotten its the interweaving of characters that has made the shows so likable. The world of The Vampire Diaries has always been about families whether related by blood or not supporting each other through thick and thin. Bringing together different characters from all three shows in the finale of the Legacies series will not only be exciting but also the perfect way to say goodbye to a beloved TV universe.
