Britney Spears just revealed why she skipped the 2022 Met Gala


Since the end of Britney Spears 13 year tenure, she has been freer to enjoy her life. She and longtime boyfriend Sam Asgari were finally able to properly celebrate their engagement by traveling which she documented on one year's Instagram of course. He has an Australian Shepherd puppy. She was also trying different hair colors and a new love for makeup. But with that freedom to do a lot of new things also comes the freedom to hang on whenever you want which is exactly what Spears has practiced when it comes to one of the biggest events on this year's social calendar the Met Gala.

Explaining a recent Instagram post he explained why he chose not to attend the event this year. The post features a video of Spears in a red plaid jumpsuit and shoes while she catwalks behind her in the living room writing in the caption I was going to the Met Gala but took a shower with me instead.
